Teeter's Telescopes, LLC. - Serving the Amateur Astronomy Community Since 2002!

Teeter's Telescopes Production Log, 2002-Present

*Sorted by Date of Completion.

Product Line Legend

Prototype = Our first Truss-Dobsonian Builds, which included a 12.5" f/5.5 (the true prototype) and a 20" f/5 to prove we could handle larger apertures;

Planet-Killer = Our original production line featuring medium apertures and long focal lengths. However, some faster scopes were also designated as "Planet-Killers" if the scope was originally designed with ultra-high-quality primary and secondary mirrors;

Truss Conversion = A complimentary production line to the Planet-Killers allowing customers to supply their own optics and other major components from commercial and home-built solid tube Dobsonians;

TT/Custom = A line of lower priced, bare-bones, scopes offered exclusively through the former J&T Telescope Company. Scopes were offered "Ala Carte" where customers could pick and choose their own components to best suit their budget;

TT/4.5 = A production line featuring larger apertures and F/4.5 focal ratios to compliment our Planet-Killer line;

Ultra-Limited-Edition = The latest production line debuting in April, 2008, denoting a scaled down production volume from previous years.

Mirrors in Teeter's Telescopes

Since Teeter's Telescopes opened its doors in 2002, we've had the opportunity to work with nearly every newtonian mirror manufacturer in the industry. Whether the mirrors were provided to us directly from our customers or we purchased the mirrors directly from the manufacturer, we've interacted with manufacturers directly and have created lasting commercial relationships. At Teeter's Telescopes we don't box you in and make you pick your mirror from one or two different suppliers. A summary of the mirror manufacturers with which we've dealt is included below (in no particular order):
