Teeter's Telescopes, LLC., exclusively uses FedEx Ground to ship our scopes both within the United States and Canada (International air shipments are quoted at time of order). We pack every telescope ourselves using high-strength double-wall corrugated cardboard boxes, internal bracing, cushioning foam (not peanuts!) and strapping tape.

 

On a typical project, we will pack your telescope into four (4) packages as follows:

​

• The Mirrorbox and any small accessories into the first shipping container;

• The Rockerbox with Upper Tube Assembly nested inside into the second container;

• The Truss Poles and Wheelbarrow Handles (if applicable) together into a third container

• The primary mirror safely isolated from all other components into a fourth container.

 

*Approximate* shipping fees are detailed at right, inclusive of the following charges:

• FedEx Ground shipping with full insurance coverage;

• Packing materials as described above;

• Our labor to disassemble your telescope, build the shipping containers, physically pack your scope for shipment and create all necessary shipment documents.

 

Fees in the table at right are given as a guide and should never be interpretted as exact charges). We do not bill you for shipping until your telescope is complete, packed, and the boxes weighed/measured and an actual charge from FedEx is given.
